Teaching activities
This is a complete list of my past and present teaching activities.
Heliophysics course
Course at Turin University (Physics Dep.) on "Heliophysics and Space Weather" (click here for more details).
This is a full (48 hours) course for which I am responsible from 2012 and held for the Master Degree in Physics (University of Turin) to students interested in Astrophysics. Objective of the course is to develop fundamental concepts for understanding of the main solar activity manifestations and their possible interactions with planetary magnetosphere and with the Earth in particular. The course is divided into the following three modules: 1) the sun and the solar activity; 2) planetary magnetosphere and the interplanetary medium; 3) effects of solar activity on Earth. For the full program of the Course please visit the official homepage.Astrolab course
Course at Turin University (Physics Dep.) on "Laboratory of Astrophysics" (click here for more details).
For this course, held for the Master Degree in Physics (University of Turin) by Prof. F. Massaro, I am responsible for one of the Laboratory activities, and in particular for the so-called "data mining" experiment. With this activity the students are requested to understand how to make data search and queries on the Hinode data archive based on well defined observational properties and scientific objectives. Then, the students are requested to download the selected EUV spectra and analyze them to measure the main properties of a selected spectra line (evolution of intensity, Doppler shift, line width, non-thermal broadening), with a careful estimate of uncertainties on each parameter. For the full program of the Course please visit the official homepage.Other Activities
Other activities as teacher and supervisor at different levels (click here for more details).
More than teaching at University of Turin, I am also involved in many other teaching activities at different levels, such as Master Course for undergraduate students, or "refresher courses" for high-school teachers. Moreover, I was also supervisor of students at many different levels, such as supervision of undergraduate students for Italian "school-work alternation", supervision of Master Degree Theses in Physics at University, supervision of Ph.D. students, and supervision of post-doc research.
